ember con / / january 25 + 26

Welcome to the first ever Ember Con. Ember Con is an underground gathering of table top RPG players. No publishers. No hotel blocks. Not even food trucks.

Games spanning from genre defining classics to niche, independently published titles will be ran by prime GMs.

Ember Con will be ran for two days with two tables - depending on demand, a third gaming space may be added. Players are encouraged to visit the “Lineup” page for a detailed list of events. Potential GM’s are encouraged to visit the “Discord / Links” page for a games submission form.

Event tickets, posters, raffles, and more will be “sold” at Ember Con. We placed sold in quotation marks, because once our (small) operating costs are covered, all proceeds from Ember Con will be donated to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF).

The NFFF is a national nonprofit that provides funds for firefighters who are injured on duty and helps cover the funeral costs for families who experience a line of duty death. Mental health support, scholarships, and much more make-up the full mission of the NFFF.

Roughly 80% of firefighters in Wisconsin are volunteers, making it difficult for them to receive healthcare for injuries they receive on the job. That’s where the NFFF comes in. By providing the much needed funds for medical care, injured firefighters can be back on their feet as fast as possible.

Ember Con charges $4.00 for a 2-hour game and $8.00 for a 4-hour game. These costs will go towards snacks / drinks, badges, and a small pool of rewards for our GMs hard work. At the con, an official Ember Con poster and re-roll cards will be for sale - the proceeds of which will 100% go to the NFFF. More details on the poster and re-roll cards are coming.
